Our Story
Timeline
Five Years. One Mission.
Zero Compromises.
2019 — The Garage
It Starts with a Bad Drill
Marcus Webb pays $340 for a "professional" drill that strips its chuck on job three. Furious, he spends six weeks researching factory-direct suppliers. He orders samples of 22 different drill kits. 19 fail his tests. Three make the cut. UltraUp is born.
2020 — First 100 Customers
Word Spreads Fast on Job Sites
Marcus sells his first 100 kits through a combination of Facebook groups and word-of-mouth from Kansas construction crews. Return rate: 0%. Average review: 4.9 stars. He hires his first employee — his brother-in-law, a former machinist.
2021 — Real Warehouse, Real Scale
Moving Out of the Garage
UltraUp leases its first warehouse space in Chanute — 4,200 sq ft of shelving, a testing bay, and a loading dock. The team grows to five. Free shipping is introduced on all orders with no minimum. Customers notice immediately.
2022 — The 2-Year Warranty
Putting Our Money Where Our Mouth Is
Most tool companies offer 90-day warranties. UltraUp goes to 2 years — full replacement, no excuses. Marcus: "If I'm not confident enough to back a tool for 2 years, I won't sell it." The warranty drives a 34% spike in repeat purchases.
